Alexander Emmanuel "Alex" Rodriguez, an American Major League Baseball third baseman for the New York Yankees on 27 Born in July 1975, in Washington Heights, New York City. His family was a Dominican. His parents, Victor and Lourdes had a shoe store in Washington Heights and lived in a small apartment behind the store.
