Washington (September 12, 2009) mainstream media completely missed the real story of 9-12 Tea Party protest in DC. It was a bitter failure. Amazingly, the media continues to misreport the true size and tone of those present. Despite the advance actions (and advertising from FOX News), appeared to report on a national news event production, turned out fewer people than would fit in a football stadium. For comparison, consider that many more people turnout for local rock concerts orSporting events. Pictures of the event can be staged impressive angles until you realize that much more of the National Mall from the Black Family Reunion Celebration was busy. The image shown is often crowed Pennsylvania Avenue next to Freedom Plaza, the Capitol looming in the background is also misleading. Compare footprints on the map: equivalent to five lanes of the city street for the block in about one side of the lower bowl on the Redskins stadium is only room for about 12,000People by far not reported tens of thousands. Representative Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) announced the participation of 1.5 million in the sparsely populated visitors gathered at the Capitol. While it is difficult to traverse the ground in most of the DC protests, concerts, etc., amazingly, I was able to scale from behind the front of the stage on foot in less than 30 minutes. Apparently propaganda rules the day as a tea party-goers are willing to mislead and in the media is more than ready...
